Yes! The facility was officially named the Columbia Events Center after renovations and remodeling were completed in 2020. The name is more reflective of the wide range of event types hosted throughout the year. It is still the home of the Knights of Columbus Council 952.
Columbia Events Center has 2 room sizes available. The main banquet room can accommodate up to 400 guests for a seated dinner. The smaller room can accommodate up to 125 guests.
Yes, tables and chairs are included in the rental fee.
Yes, we are fully accessible to people with limited mobility.
We primarily use five foot round tables that seat eight guests comfortably. We also have eight foot banquet tables and 42” high cocktail tables.
You may burn real candles inside glass containers, including pillar candles.
We have a built in wireless audio system for our three microphones (two handheld and one wireless). Clients may also connect their device to the audio system using Bluetooth connectivity. We have a 65" TV capable of AirPlay from mobile devices and provide clients with free wifi access upon request. The Columbia Events Center also has a portable projection screen for use with a client-provided projector.
We have onsite parking for up to 200 vehicles.
You are free to use a caterer of your choice. The caterer must be licensed and will be required to clean up and provide waitstaff. We have a full-service bar and will provide bartenders for your event. You have various bar options such as cash bar, open bar or keg service. We accept credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay as a form of payment.
Columbia Events Center allows you to provide your own cake/dessert and dry snacks for your event. All other food must be supplied by a licensed caterer. Due to licensing restrictions, any other outside food or alcoholic beverages are not permitted. During the event, any outside food and beverage not allowed will be confiscated.
You can provide your desserts, candy, nuts, and cake. You do not need to go through a licensed baker or caterer for your desserts or wedding cake.
Yes! You can use any vendors you'd like. All caterers must be licensed and provide waitstaff. Bartenders will be provided by Columbia Events Center.
You may set up for your event the day before the function if another event is not booked for that day. If you need more time please speak to Events Center Manager, Heidi Morris at (515) 341-5385.
Yes, our Events Center Manager will consult with you to help plan the perfect event to ensure all the details are taken care of and that the event runs smoothly so you can enjoy the time with your guests.

That is the easiest part. Contact Events Center Manager to discuss your date and schedule a consultation (515) 341-5385. The date will be reserved after we receive a signed contract and a $500 deposit. Your deposit is refundable 2 weeks following your function, providing no damage to the venue or prohibited uses has occurred.
